A spectacluar yet common sunset at Kuta Beach.

The Tongariro Crossing is considered by many to be the finest "one day walk" in New Zealand, if not the world. The trail takes hikers through a volcanic plateau of old lava flows, volcanic craters, and gives allows the opportunity to walk between a field of three active volcanoes; Mt Tongariro, Ruapehu, and Ngauruhoe (which stars as the Lord of the Ring's Mount Doom). The ground steams with geothermal heat, and steam often rises from the active volcanoes cones. Here a group of hikers embrace and take in the spectacular views of the plateau and Mt. Ngauruhoe.

These are spectacular views of the Cliff's of Moher and the Atlantic Ocean, on the west coast of Ireland.

Cartagena, Colombia. Cartagena is one of the jewls of south american cities. There are frequent festivals and street parade such as this one, put on by the university, through the streets of Getsemani

A group of backpackers get to play around with a couple of elephants in the Mekong River outside of Luang Prabang, Laos.

The island of Don Det is an upcoming backpacker stop on the Mekong River along the Cambodia/Laos border. This high platform is a great place to dive into the river from.

Caitlins, Otago, New Zealand. The beaches of the Otago Peninsula are a wildlife refuge for the endangered penguin. Tours can take you down to the beaches where you often have chances to observe the penguins. Some may walk right up to you.

Doubtful Sound is the lesser known of the major sounds, but it is arguably more scenic. It is also much harder to access and thus more remote. An overnight boat cruise offers deep access and activities like kayaking and experiencing untouched nature.

The Dusky dolphins found in Kaikoura, New Zealand are described as hyper-social. They are very playful and enjoy the company of swimmers in the water. The dolphins are very acrobatic and frequently jump out of the water as people play with them.

New Zealand's Aoraki / Mount Cook village is located in the central part of the South Island, deep in the heart of the Southern Alps. A man raises his arms in joy as he watches the stunning sunset in the center of the park.
